Boréal MT is an automatic translation engine specialized in Canadian French (fr-CA), designed for SMEs in francophone Canada (Québec, New Brunswick, Ontario) whose HR, communications, and legal teams need consistent terminology across documents. The service includes:
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account. Boréal MT cannot be held responsible for losses resulting from unauthorized access to your account.
You agree not to use Boréal MT to:
You retain all rights to the texts you submit for translation. Boréal MT acquires no rights over your documents. The translations produced belong to you.
The service is subject to monthly quotas according to your pricing plan:
Additional word blocks can be purchased at any time. Unused words in monthly plans do not roll over to the following month.
Your documents are processed to produce translations and to improve your organization's translation memory. We do not use your documents to train general AI models. For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.
Boréal MT strives to maintain 99.5% monthly uptime. Planned maintenance is announced 24 hours in advance. Boréal MT cannot be held responsible for service interruptions caused by third-party providers (Azure, Anthropic, Stripe).
Boréal MT is a translation assistance tool. We strongly recommend having critical documents reviewed by a certified professional translator. Boréal MT's total liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by the customer over the 12 months preceding the incident.
You may close your account at any time from the account settings. Your data will be retained for 90 days after closure, then permanently deleted. Boréal MT may suspend an account in case of violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of the district of Montréal, Québec.
